Mother’s Day is a few weeks away and if you’re looking for inspiration for the woman who gave you life (no pressure) then I have just the ticket – literally.
There are two events happening at Gloucester Studio on 31st March.
Pairs of tickets for tea/coffee, a slice of fire-cooked cake and a scone you cook yourself over the fire. To make this the perfect Mother’s Day gift, each pair of tickets includes a gift-wrapped present of your choice; a sweet bonfire candle, a copy of Hygge Huts or for an extra £5, a copy of The Pyromaniac Chef Cook Book (please specify which you’d like at time of booking). That means Mother’s Day is all wrapped up and all you need to do is pick up mum and head over for an unforgettable trip.
- Tea/Coffee for two people between 10.30am and 12.30pm. If you’re a caffeine junkie then I will raise to your challenge.
- Two slices of chocolate cake and two scones with fresh cream and homemade jam.
- A gift of your choice wrapped as beautifully as you’d expect from the woman who was the Durham branch of Earnest Jones’ best wrapper for Christmas 2003 (true story).
Combine a cosy fire-cooked meal with learning a new skill. Jane Gray-Wallis is bringing her creativity and bag of tools to Gloucester Studio to run a practical workshop where each participant begins with a rough piece of wood and leaves with a spoon. Kathryn will ensure you are well fuelled with a hearty lunch and will provide a cake for the break. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available throughout the afternoon.
The event is suitable for absolute beginners and will also be an enjoyable afternoon for anyone who already enjoys working with wood.
