I am exhausted. Last week was insane but I think being busy has to be my favourite problem to have.
On Tuesday BBC Radio Gloucestershire came by for a lunch of jerk chicken and spicy rice followed by mojito pineapple. It seems everyone follows BBC Radio Gloucestershire on Facebook as this week I’ve had so many people come up to me and congratulate me.
On Wednesday I did a catering job at The Roses theatre in Tewkesbury. I love doing catering with them as they give me complete freedom with my menus. Last weeks canapes were salmon cooked in coconut milk with turmeric served on star shaped toasts, butternut squash and feta mini muffins, bacon topped with avocado cream and sun dried tomatoes, and chia seed crackers topped with goats cheese and a pomegranate and onion marmalade. They went down really well even if one or two people needed to be persuaded by their friends to try the salmon ones!
Saturday was a lunch for local food bloggers to let them know Gloucester Studio is here and to pick their brains about a new project I’ll be launching soon. It went really well and once my business partner and I have finalised the details I’ll be shouting about it from the roof tops.
This was around my usual workload so by Saturday afternoon I was a little weary. Still, I had a trip away with the girls planned. Two days of cocktail workshops, shopping and eating a ridiculous amount of food later and I’m ready to stop and have a coupe of quiet days.
I’m feeling incredibly lucky as my friends really made everything possible from Helen, Ryan, Azaria, George and Albie who gave up a Tuesday lunchtime and agree to be filmed to Kate, Helen, Karen, Marina, Debbie and Christine who made Liverpool an absolutely wonderful “Mum’s on tour.” Plenty of businesses say it, but Gloucester Studio really does owe everything to my community of supporters.
Thank you everyone.
